Amena Noor Foundation (ANF) was established in 2015 to continue Mohd. Noor Uz Zaman and Amena Zaman’s legacy of building a better society through active commitment, engagement, contribution, and vision. As a couple, from their early age they committed themselves to promote social justice, equity, and opportunity for all. While the initiatives varied in scope they all had the common goal of giving back to humanity. From establishing educational institutions and providing economic assistance for basic human rights to organizing for the 1971 liberation war of Bangladesh, they persevered for each of their initiatives. In the process, they were able to inculcate their values and share their vision with their compatriots and children. Their social and political activism, promotion of education, access to healthcare, encouraging and funding small businesses and culture of philanthropy continue to inspire many. Through close collaboration with like minded human beings and public and private organizations, ANF commits to continue the legacy into the future. For the coming decades, ANF sees the following as priority areas for its activities.
